The academic eligibility is not very high in entering an animation course. 10+2 is the criterion. But what is important is a creative bent of mind and having artistic flair. However a working knowledge of c++ and Java can be of help. For the diploma in animation one need to have passed 12th standard from any recognized board. For Post Graduate program one should have a Bachelors Degree in any discipline, preferably Arts.

Today even the international companies are looking at India for outsourcing content and projects which has resulted in a great demand for animators.
